الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي تلقي اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن

تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس الأمريكي “جو بايدن”.

وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الاتصال تضمن تأكيد الرئيسين لقوة الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين مصر والولايات المتحدة والحرص على مواصلة تطويرها في كافة المجالات.

وفيما يتصل بالأوضاع في المنطقة، حرص الرئيس الأمريكي على توجيه الشكر للسيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي على الدور المصري في الوساطة المشتركة التي أدت إلى التوصل للهدنة الإنسانية بقطاع غزة، مثمنًا الجهود المصرية في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين، ومؤكداً رفض الولايات المتحدة القاطع للتهجير القسري للفلسطينيين من غزة إلى الأراضي المصرية.

وأضاف المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي أن السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية أكد من جانبه أن الجهود المصرية تأتي في إطار حرص مصر على حقن الدماء وتحقيق الاستقرار في المنطقة، مشددًا على ضرورة العمل على البناء على الهدنة الإنسانية الحالية للتوصل إلى وقف دائم لإطلاق النار، وإدخال الكميات المطلوبة من المساعدات الإغاثية والوقود لجميع مناطق القطاع، كما أكد الرئيسان أهمية العمل في اتجاه الحل السياسي للقضية الفلسطينية استناداً إلى حل الدولتين.

هذا، وقد اتفق الرئيسان في ختام الاتصال على استمرار التنسيق والتشاور بين الجانبين لتحقيق الاستفادة من الهدنة الحالية بما يدعم الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from U.S. President, Joe Biden.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said during their call the two Presidents underscored the robust and firm strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, and confirmed commitment to further advancing it across all areas.

As to the situation in the region, the U.S. President was keen on extending gratitude to President El-Sisi for Egypt’s role in the joint mediation that resulted in a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip. President Biden valued the Egyptian efforts to enhance regional security and stability, and emphasized the United States’ categorical rejection of the forced displacement of the Palestinians from Gaza to the Egyptian territories.

President El-Sisi pointed out that the Egyptian efforts emanate from Egypt’s keenness on ending the bloodshed and achieving stability in the region. The President underlined the necessity to leverage the current humanitarian truce to reach a lasting ceasefire and deliver the necessary quantities of relief aid and fuel to all areas in the sector. The two Presidents also affirmed the vital need to work toward a political settlement to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution.

Concluding their call, President El-Sisi and President Biden agreed to continue coordination and consultations between the two sides so as to capitalize on the current truce to reinforce security and stability in the region.
