استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية ، اليوم، السيد “جون كريستمان” رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة أباتشي الأمريكية المتخصصة في مجال بحث واستكشاف البترول، وذلك على هامش معرض مصر الدولي للطاقة “إيجبس 2025”.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي استمع إلى رؤى الشركة بشأن توسيع أعمالها في مصر، حيث أعرب السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي عن تقدير مصر لحجم أنشطة واستثمارات شركة أباتشي في البلاد، فضلاً عن إسهاماتها البارزة في عمليات إستكشاف وإنتاج الغاز والبترول، مما يعزز هذا القطاع الحيوي ويمكنه من القيام بدور رئيسي في جهود التنمية الاقتصادية، من خلال تحويل مصر إلى مركز محوري لإنتاج وتداول الطاقة في شرق البحر المتوسط، كما أكد السيد الرئيس على أهمية تعزيز أنشطة شركة أباتشي واستثماراتها في مصر لتعظيم الاستفادة من موارد البلاد.
وأضاف السفير محمد الشناوي، المتحدث الرسمي ، أن رئيس شركة أباتشي أكد من جانبه على اعتزازه بلقاء السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي ، مؤكداً على أهمية العلاقة التي تربط بين مصر والشركة في إطار برامج الشركة على المستوى الدولي، ومشيداً بما حققته مصر خلال السنوات الأخيرة على صعيد النمو الاقتصادي، وهو الأمر الذي انعكس على التطور المستمر في مجال إنتاج الطاقة وتنويع مصادرها، وكذلك انعكس في تحسين مستوى البنية التحتية للدولة بصفة عامة ولقطاع البترول والغاز بصفة خاصة، فضلاً عن توسع مصر في مشروعات التعاون الإقليمي للربط مع دول الإقليم بهدف نقل وإسالة الغاز، وهي الأمور التي سوف يكون لها مردود وأثر إقتصادي إيجابي.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Chief Executive Officer of Apache Corporation, Mr. John J Christmann. The CEO of the American company, which is specialized in the search and exploration of petroleum, is attending the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2025.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President was briefed on the American Company’s views regarding its expansion plans in Egypt. President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s appreciation of the size and scope of Apache Corporation’s activities and investments in the country, as well as its significant contributions to the exploration and production operations of gas and petroleum. This boosts this vital sector and enables it to play a fundamental role in economic development efforts by turning Egypt into a key hub for energy production and trade in the East Mediterranean. The President emphasized the crucial need to enhance Apache Corporation’s activities and investments in Egypt to maximize the utilization of the country’s resources.
Mr. Christmann stressed that he valued meeting with the President and confirmed the importance of Apache Corporation’s relations with Egypt within the framework of the company’s programs at the international level. He lauded the achievements Egypt has made recently in terms of economic growth, which was reflected in the continuous development in the field of energy production and diversification of its sources. This is in addition to improving the country’s infrastructure in general and the oil and gas sector in particular, as well as Egypt’s expansion in regional cooperation projects to connect with the countries of the region, with the aim of transporting and liquefying gas, which will have a positive economic impact and return.
