استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية ، اليوم، الرئيس القبرصي “نيكوس خريستودوليدس”، وذلك في لقاء ثنائي بين الرئيسين تبعه لقاء موسع ضم وفدي البلدين، وذلك على هامش مشاركة الرئيسين في معرض مصر الدولي للطاقة “إيجبس 2025”.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن اللقاء تناول سبل دعم التعاون بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات، سواء على الصعيد الثنائي أو في إطار آلية التعاون الثلاثي مع اليونان، حيث أثنى الجانبان على الزخم الذي تشهده العلاقات، مؤكدين حرصهما على إستمرار التنسيق في مختلف المجالات بما يحقق تطلعات الشعبين الصديقين. وفي هذا الإطار، تناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز التعاون في مجال إنتاج وتسييل ونقل الغاز الطبيعي، بما يخدم المصالح البلدين والقارة الأوروبية بأكملها.
وأضاف السفير محمد الشناوي، المتحدث الرسمي، أن اللقاء تناول أيضاً تطورات الأوضاع في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، حيث تم إستعراض الجهود المصرية لتنفيذ إتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، وحرص مصر على تنفيذ الإتفاق بمراحله الثلاثة بما يدعم الإستقرار في المنطقة، كما تم تناول الجهود المصرية لاستئناف ومواصلة عملية تبادل الرهائن والمحتجزين، فضلاً عن إنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية إلى قطاع غزة لمواجهة المآساة الإنسانية التي يتعرض لها أهالي القطاع. وفي ذات السياق، استمع الرئيس القبرصي إلى الجهود المصرية الجارية لوضع مقترح متكامل لإعادة إعمار قطاع غزة دون تهجير الفلسطينيين أو خروجهم من أرضهم، وقد حرص الرئيسان في هذا الصدد على التأكيد على أن إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية على حدود الرابع من يونيو عام ١٩٦٧ وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية تمثل الضمانة الوحيدة للتوصل إلى السلام الدائم في المنطقة.
وذكر المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاء تطرق أيضاً إلى الأوضاع في كل من سوريا ولبنان وليبيا، حيث تم التأكيد على أهمية الحفاظ على إستقرار تلك الدول الشقيقة، وحماية وحدتها وسلامة أراضيها، بما يعزز من السلم والأمن الإقليميين والدوليين.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides. The two leaders first held a bilateral meeting, followed by an expanded one that included the delegations of the two countries, on the sidelines of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2025.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the meeting touched on ways to buttress cooperation between the two countries in various fields, whether at the bilateral level or within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Greece. The two presidents lauded the momentum relations have gained, stressing their keenness to continue coordination in various fields in order to achieve the aspirations of the two peoples. The meeting reviewed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of production, liquefaction and transportation of natural gas, so as to serve the interests of the two countries and Europe.
The meeting also tackled the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. Egypt’s efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, as well as its keenness to implement all three stages of the agreement to support stability in the region were reviewed. The meeting also touched on efforts to resume and continue the exchange of hostages and detainees, as well as deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip to confront the humanitarian tragedy from which the people of Gaza are suffering.
The Cypriot president listened to views concerning Egypt’s efforts to develop a comprehensive proposal for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, one that ensures that Palestinians are not displaced and do not leave their land. The two presidents emphasized that the establishment of a Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, represents the only guarantee for achieving permanent peace in the region.
The meeting also touched on the situation in Syria, Lebanon and Libya. The two presidents stressed the importance of preserving the stability of those countries and protecting their unity and territorial integrity so as to reinforce regional and international peace and security.
