اجتمع السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم، مع كل من الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي رئيس مجلس الوزراء، والدكتور شريف فاروق وزير التموين والتجارة الداخلية، والسيد علاء فاروق وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضي، واللواء أمير سيد أحمد مستشار رئيس الجمهورية للتخطيط العمراني، والعقيد دكتور بهاء الغنام رئيس جهاز مستقبل مصر للتنمية المستدامة.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أنه تم خلال الإجتماع تناول جهود الحكومة لتفعيل البورصة السلعية المصرية، بما يحقق المستهدفات منها فيما يتعلق بتحقيق الأمن الغذائي وتعزيز استدامة توفير السلع الأساسية بأسعار مناسبة، وذلك من خلال ضمان أسعار عادلة للسلع الإستراتيجية، وحماية المنتجين والمستهلكين على حدٍ سواء، ودعم القطاع الزراعي والصناعي المحلي، إلى جانب تحسين آليات تداول السلع لضبط الأسواق وتعزيز الشفافية في التسعير.
وأشار السفير محمد الشناوى المتحدث الرسمي أن الإجتماع تناول التفصيلات ذات الصلة بالبورصة السلعية المصرية، بما في ذلك أن تكون البورصة نافذة لإستيراد وتصدير الحاصلات والمواد الغدائية المصنعه والأعلاف والأسمدة والمبيدات والأدوية البيطرية، لضمان تحقيق التكامل والأمن الغذائي وضبط الآليات ذات الصلة، وأن البورصة السلعية ستكون داعمة للمزارعين والتجار عبر تيسير وصول المنتجات والسلع الى الأسواق وتقليل سلاسل الامداد، وأن البورصة السلعية سوف تعمل كذلك لصالح صغار المنتجين والمزارعين من خلال آليات العمل الجديدة التي سوف تستحدثها، وأنها سوف تؤدي الى توحيد السياسات التصديرية والاستيراديه تحت مظلة واحدة، وتساهم في تعزيز الصادرات والواردات المصرية، وخلق جيل جديد من المصدرين من خلال آليات وسياسات للترويج لمنتجاتهم التصديرية.
وذكر المتحدث الرسمي أن الإجتماع تناول في هذا الصدد التجارب الدولية الناجحة في إدارة البورصات السلعية، وسبل الإستفادة من الممارسات المثلى لضمان ضبط الأسواق الداخلية، كما جرت المناقشة حول الإستخدام الأمثل للبنية التحتية المتاحة مثل الصوامع الحديثة وثلاجات التخزين المتطورة لتقليل الهدر وضمان جودة المنتجات.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي أن الإجتماع تناول كذلك وضع المخزون الإستراتيجي من السلع والمواد الغذائية، بالتنسيق مع جهاز مستقبل مصر، حيث تم التأكيد على تأمين أرصدة آمنة من مختلف السلع، ومواصلة الجهود لزيادة حجم الإحتياطيات، وخاصة من السلع الإستراتيجيّة.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي أكد في هذا الصدد على ضرورة التنسيق والتكامل بين مختلف الجهات الحكومية لتوفير الإحتياجات الإستراتيجية للدولة، بما يساهم في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي، ويُعزز من مكانة مصر كمركز إقليمي لتجارة السلع الزراعية. كما أكد سيادته على ضرورة تحقيق التكامل بين الإنتاج المحلي ومتطلبات السوق، بما يسهم في دعم المزارعين والمنتجين المحليين وزيادة قدرتهم التنافسية.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, as well as Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Sherif Farouk, and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk. The meeting was also attended by Advisor to the President for Urban Planning, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, and Executive Director of “Egypt’s Future Authority for Sustainable Development”, Colonel Dr. Bahaa El-Ghannam.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the meeting reviewed the government’s efforts to activate the Egyptian Commodity Exchange to meet its objectives, which include achieving food security and promoting the sustainable provision of essential commodities and goods at affordable prices. This shall take place by ensuring fair prices for strategic commodities, protecting both producers and consumers, supporting the local agricultural and industrial sectors, and improving commodity trading mechanisms so as to regulate markets and enhance pricing transparency.
The discussion focused on the specifics of the Egyptian Commodity Exchange, including its role in facilitating the import and export of agricultural commodities, processed food, feed, fertilizers, pesticides and veterinary medicines, in order to improve integration and food security and streamline related mechanisms. The Commodity Exchange will support farmers and traders by facilitating market access and reducing supply chains. The Commodity Exchange will also work to benefit small producers and farmers through the new working mechanisms that it will develop. It will lead to the unification of export and import policies under one umbrella, contribute to strengthening Egyptian exports and imports, and create a new generation of exporters through mechanisms and policies to promote their export products.
The meeting reviewed successful international experiences in the management of commodity exchanges, and ways to benefit from best practices to ensure the regulation of the domestic markets. Furthermore, discussions tackled ways to leverage available infrastructure, such as modern silos and advanced storage refrigerators so as to reduce waste and ensure product quality.
The discussion also addressed the strategic stock of goods and food supplies, in coordination with “Egypt’s Future Authority for Sustainable Development”. There was an agreement on the importance of securing safe reserves of various commodities, and continuing efforts to increase the volume of reserves, especially of strategic goods.
President El-Sisi emphasized the vital importance of collaboration and integration among the various government authorities to meet the state’s strategic needs, thereby achieving food security and strengthening Egypt’s position as a regional hub for agricultural commodity trade. The President also stressed the need to align local production with market demands so as to empower local farmers and producers and boost their competitiveness.
