Prize Distribution Ceremony for Winners of the 29th “Glimpses of India” Painting

The Embassy of India in Cairo organized a Prize Distribution Ceremony to felicitate the winners of the 29th edition of the “Glimpses of India” Painting Competition, which was held from 02-24 November 2025, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Egypt.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, H.E. Kirti Vardhan Singh as chief guests. The ceremony was also attended by the Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsin, Art Education Advisor and many senior officials from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The dignitaries congratulated the young participants and commended their creativity, talent, and enthusiasm.
In his remarks, the Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs, H.E. Kirti Vardhan Singh, warmly praised the Egyptian children for their beautiful and thoughtful artwork. He lauded the young artists for capturing the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and shared civilizational values of India and Egypt with remarkable creativity and sensitivity.
The 29th edition of the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 29,000 Egyptian students representing 23 Governorates across Egypt. Through their vibrant and imaginative paintings, the participants beautifully depicted the culture, art, and heritage of India and Egypt, reflecting a deep appreciation for Indian culture and underscoring the strong and growing people-to-people ties between the two countries.
