An exciting art initiative, the “Caricature on Yoga

The Embassy of India in Cairo, in collaboration with the Abla Art Foundation, Fayoum Art Centre, and Egypt Cartoon Blog, is pleased to announce an exciting art initiative, the “Caricature on Yoga” competitionto celebrate 12th International Day of Yoga 2026. This unique contest invites caricature artists to creatively depict the spirit, practice, and philosophy of Yoga through the art of caricature.
Yoga has seen growing popularity in Egypt in recent years, and this competition aims to blend the visual storytelling power of caricature with the universal appeal of Yoga. It offers a platform for artists to express their creativity and cultural interpretation of Yoga in a creative, engaging, and thought-provoking way.
A jury will carefully evaluate all submissions, and the top three winning entries will be selected and honored with trophy, certificate and cash prizes during a special award ceremony at the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture in Cairo. In addition to the award ceremony, an exhibition showcasing all selected caricature entries will be held at the Maulana Azad Centre, offering the public an opportunity to appreciate the diverse artistic interpretations of Yoga.
Conditions
• Open to artists from MENA region
• Works must be in JPEG format, 300 dpi, A3 size
• Works can be black and white or color, in any style or technique (AI artworks will not be considered)
Prizes Awarded by the Jury
1st Prize 10’000 EGP + Trophy
2nd Prize 7500 EGP + Trophy
3rd Prize 5000 EGP + Trophy
Certificate of Participation for all artworks chosen for Exhibition
