تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية اتصالاً هاتفياً من الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ولي عهد المملكة العربية السعودية رئيس مجلس الوزراء، حيث تم التباحث حول مستجدات التصعيد الجاري بين الجانبين الفلسطيني والإسرائيلي، وما يشكله من خطورة كبيرة على حياة المدنيين، وتهديد لاستقرار المنطقة. وقد تم التشديد خلال الاتصال على أهمية ضبط النفس في هذه المرحلة الدقيقة وتغليب صوت العقل ومسار التهدئة، منعاً لتدهور الأوضاع الأمنية والإنسانية وخروجها عن السيطرة.
وأوضح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أنه تم التوافق كذلك على مواصلة التشاور والتنسيق بين مصر والسعودية خلال الفترة المقبلة لتأكيد الرؤية العربية بشأن القضية الفلسطينية، والتي تتمحور حول تحقيق التسوية الشاملة والعادلة على أساس حل الدولتين، وفق مرجعيات الشرعية الدولية، وهو الأمر الذى يتطلب التهدئة الفورية ووقف المواجهات العسكرية في جميع الاتجاهات.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
President El-Sisi and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman focused on the latest developments in the ongoing escalation between the Palestinians and Israelis, the formidable danger it poses to the lives of civilians, as well as its threat to the stability of the region.
They reiterated the importance of exercising self-restraint at this crucial stage and of giving priority to the voice of reason and the path of calm, in order to prevent the security and humanitarian situation from deteriorating and from spiraling out of control.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that they agreed to continue consultations and coordination between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the coming period, so as to confirm the Arab vision with regard to the Palestinian cause. This vision revolves around achieving a just and comprehensive settlement, based on the two-state solution, in accordance with the references of international legitimacy, which requires immediate calm and ending military confrontations in all directions.
