استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية ، اليوم بقصر الاتحادية، الرئيس “إيمرسون منانجاجوا”، رئيس زيمبابوي، الذي يقوم بزيارة لمصر.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار أحمد فهمي أن الرئيسين أشادا بالتطور المستمر في علاقات التعاون المشترك بين البلدين الشقيقين، مؤكدين الحرص على تعزيز الآليات والأطر القائمة لدفع العلاقات إلى آفاق أرحب، وبالأخص في مجالات التعاون التنموي، حيث تم الاتفاق في هذا الصدد على أهمية تطوير التعاون في مجال الزراعة ومشروعات التصنيع الزراعي، وتعظيم الاستفادة من الثروات الحيوانية والسمكية، وذلك بهدف تعظيم القيمة المضافة وضمان الأمن الغذائي للبلدين، إلى جانب التعاون في قطاعات البنية التحتية المختلفة بما يوفر فرصاً تنموية مشتركة، وقد أشاد رئيس زيمبابوي في هذا السياق بما لمسه شخصياً خلال زيارته لمصر من نهضة تنموية لافتة في فترة زمنية قصيرة، مؤكداً تطلع بلاده للاستفادة من الخبرات المصرية في هذا الإطار.
وأشار المتحدث الرسمي إلى أن اللقاء تناول كذلك التباحث حول سبل تعزيز العمل الأفريقي المشترك، لاسيما في ضوء استضافة مصر حالياً لفعاليات المعرض الثالث للتجارة البينية الأفريقية، حيث اتفق الرئيسان على أهمية تكثيف الجهود الأفريقية لضمان مرونة اقتصادات القارة أمام الصدمات الدولية، والدور المحوري لجهود التوسع في التجارة البينية الأفريقية، بهدف تحقيق الاستفادة المثلى من منطقة التجارة الحرة القارية، ودفع جهود التنمية الشاملة في القارة.
Today at Al-Ittihadiya Palace, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is currently visiting Egypt.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the two Presidents lauded the ongoing progress in the two countries’ joint cooperation. They underscored commitment to enhancing the existing mechanisms and frameworks so as to promote relations toward broader prospects, notably in the field of development cooperation. In this regard, they agreed on the necessity to boost cooperation in the areas of agriculture and agricultural industrialization projects, and to leverage livestock and fisheries resources, with the aim of maximizing the added value and ensuring food security for both countries. The two Presidents also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the various infrastructure sectors which shall provide joint development opportunities. The President of Zimbabwe commended the remarkable development progress he personally noted during his visit to Egypt and that has been achieved over a short period of time. President Mnangagwa confirmed that his country looked forward to benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in this regard.
The meeting also discussed ways to enhance joint African action, particularly as Egypt is currently hosting the third Intra-African Trade Fair. The two Presidents agreed on the need to intensify African efforts to ensure the resilience of the continent’s economies in the face of international shocks. They also highlighted the vital importance of expanding efforts toward boosting intra-African trade with the aim of taking full advantage of the Continental Free Trade Agreement and strengthening efforts toward comprehensive development in Africa.
