الرئيس السيسي التقي الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس على هامش أعمال القمة العربية بالبحرين وشدد على رفض مصر قيادةً وشعباً للحرب الإسرائيلية في غزة

التقي السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية امس بالرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس، وذلك على هامش أعمال القمة العربية المنعقدة بالبحرين.

وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي حرص خلال اللقاء على تأكيد دعم مصر للقيادة الفلسطينية في مواجهة ما تتعرض له من ضغوط، وتقدير مصر لجهود السلطة الفلسطينية لدفع المجتمع الدولي للاضطلاع بمسئولياته في مواجهة العدوان الإسرائيلي على غزة.

وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن السيد الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي شدد على رفض مصر قيادةً وشعباً للحرب الإسرائيلية في غزة، والتي تتفاقم آثارها بسبب العمليات العسكرية بمدينة رفح الفلسطينية، مستعرضاً الجهود المصرية المكثفة لحشد موقف دولي جاد وصارم إزاء الإجراءات الإسرائيلية، والتحركات المصرية لإيقاف الحرب ومنع تفاقم الأوضاع الإنسانية داخل القطاع وإنفاذ المساعدات بالكميات الكافية لإنقاذ أهالي القطاع، حيث أكد سيادته موقف مصر الثابت نحو ضرورة إيجاد حل عادل وشامل للقضية الفلسطينية من خلال توسيع الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة على خطوط الرابع من يونيو ١٩٦٧ وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، مشدداً على أن التسوية العادلة للقضية الفلسطينية تعد الضامن الرئيسي لاستقرار وأمن المنطقة.

ومن جانبه ثمن الرئيس الفلسطيني الموقف المصري الثابت الداعم للقضية الفلسطينية، والخطوات الجادة التي تتخذها مصر سعياً لإيقاف نزيف الدم الفلسطيني، مؤكداً حرصه على التشاور والتنسيق المستمر مع السيد الرئيس لاستعادة السلام والأمن بالأراضي الفلسطينية وحصول الشعب الفلسطيني على حقوقه المشروعة.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, on the sidelines of the 33rd Arab League Summit in Bahrain.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s support for the Palestinian leadership in the face of the pressures exerted upon it. The President expressed Egypt’s appreciation for the Palestinian Authority’s efforts to push the international community to assume its responsibilities in confronting the Israeli aggression in Gaza.

President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s rejection of the Israeli war in Gaza, which has been further exacerbated by the military operations in the Palestinian city of Rafah. The President highlighted Egypt’s intensive efforts to mobilize a serious and firm international stance against the Israeli hostilities. President El-Sisi also reviewed Egypt’s endeavors to end the war, prevent the aggravation of the humanitarian conditions in the sector, and deliver sufficient quantities of aid to save the people of the sector. President El-Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s steadfast position regarding the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, by expanding the recognition of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. He emphasized that a just settlement of the Palestinian issue is the main guarantor for stability and security of the region.

Palestinian President Abbas lauded Egypt’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its earnest efforts to stop the Palestinian bloodshed. He confirmed his keenness on holding continuous consultations and coordination with President El-Sisi to restore peace and security in the Palestinian territories and ensure the Palestinian people regain their legitimate rights.
